Principal Message

Patty arbon

Hello Adelaide Families,

My name is Patty Arbon. I am very excited and honored to be your child’s new principal and your partner in education.

I have been with Davis School District for 13 years, most recently as the Director of Special Programs in the Special Education Department.

In 2014-2016, I worked as an administrative intern at Centerville and Muir Elementary. Prior to this, I was a special education teacher at South Clearfield Elementary and a curriculum coach for new teachers.

Being a principal is a new adventure for me and I look forward to this unique opportunity. With six children of my own, I realize how important your children are to you.

Some things I enjoy are early morning walks with my little dog Cooper, traveling, reading, connecting with friends and spending time with my grandson, Tanner who is amazing! I love being spontaneous and am always willing to trying new things.

Adelaide is part of a great community. Parents, community volunteers, and faculty work diligently in creating opportunities for students. It is amazing to see the dedication of all stakeholders.

At Adelaide our goal is for students to love learning and help them prepare for their future. We want our students to progress socially, emotionally and academically. When we can empower students to take charge of their learning with a growth mindset, there are no limits. This year our school theme is all about teamwork!

Building relationships, making connections, and having open dialogue between staff members, students, and parents are essential to our success. We want to work together in partnership with you to make this a successful year for your child. When we are united in our purpose of supporting the academic, social and emotional well-being of every child, we will help students succeed.

I want to encourage you to join the PTA; their partnership in supporting our students and teachers is invaluable.

It is a pleasure to work with such a dedicated staff here at Adelaide, and I look forward to getting to know you and your children. My door is always open should you need anything.
